Tala is referred to as Madam Tala, Royal Chancellor of the 5th House, heiress of the Regiis Embassy. She was a high ranking member of the Xybrian government, and was promised to be joined to Pascal, but chose against it so that she could pursue a relationship with J'Neya from Trifornia. J'Neya was later killed by religious purists, and Tala accepted discommendation to preserve the integrity of her family's house. She traveled to Earth, where she moved in with Pascal. She was given the field commission of lieutenant, and also teaches the Xybrian language at SPD station.
