Michael Valdez was suspended in Dec 2028 for alleged drug use, which was later revealed to be him covering for his brother, Elijah, who was at SPD on a work study program. Rather than let his brother ruin his potential career, Michael took 6 months suspension to cover for him. He is reinstated and giving a promotion to captain to oversee SPD headquarters.
